This auction is for a like-new Merkur HD Hefty Long Handle Double Edge Razor part #38C, and traditional ceramic shave soap lather mug. Also included are 25 brand new razor blades including Super Platinum Stainless Steel Merkur Double Edge Razor Blades individually wrapped in air-tight paraffin paper. All items are imported From Solingen, Germany.
The razor has a Straight Bar for close comfortable shave of normal beard or sensitive skin. The bar keeps the blade slightly off skin. Two piece design with long screw mounting polished chrome - 4 Inches Long - 3.91 oz. weight. The brass handle is tooled in a spiral non-slip pattern that reminds one of the old barber poles. As in all two piece razors, the knob at the base of the handle rotates to screw onto the long screw that tensions the blade and allows blade changing and cleaning. The knob matches the design at the handle neck for a very elegant look and feel
The artwork of a row of shave brushes set off the bottom ring of this Mug. Off white glazing sets off the black artwork. It's 4 inches in diameter and 3.25 inches in overall height. The inside dimensions are 3.75 inches in diameter and 3 inches deep. All cake soap sizes fit into this mug.
