Instructions: The item is designed to limit the need to apply pressure at both ends of the iron and can be used with only one hand. To apply even pressure and align the plates, squeeze from the handle just above the LED Display light. Apply enough pressure to allow plates to glide smoothly through hair. Avoid applying too much pressure and pulling the hair. It is not necessary to apply pressure to the tip of the iron
