Since 1885 Mason Pearson (headquartered in London, England) has been prominent throughout the world for its range of hair brushes, a field in which it is recognised as a world leader. Mason Pearson hair brushes are set apart from everyone else. To maintain the quality of the Mason Pearson hair brush, it is not mass produced. Most of the work is carried out by hand, using techniques pioneered and patented by the founder - Mason Pearson - over one hundred years ago and improved over succeeding generations.
They are constructed with a unique pneumatic rubber-cushion pad made by hand, which allows for effective and efficient brushing. It is kind to use, cleans the hair, and massages the scalp stimulating an increase in blood flow to the hair roots. A natural conditioning oil, sebum, comes from a gland at the base of every hair; brushing spreads it along the length of the hair giving it strength, suppleness and producing a healthy sheen. The classic cellulose plastic handle is hand-polished and any sharp edges are removed to make the hair brush more comfortable to hold. They have developed their own special nylon and take particular care in their selection of natural bristles to use the best combination for each brush.
