BALANCE FUNCTION
Easily raise yourself to reach high shelves and countertops. Safely travel at eye level.
Unlike other wheelchairs that offer the ability to adjust and raise the level of the seat, the iBOT® Mobility System uses patented iBALANCE® Technology which utilizes gyroscopes to automatically stabilize the user in an elevated position. This allows you to safely and easily maintain a heightened position for short or long periods of time, even while on the move.
STAIR FUNCTION
For wheelchairs users, steps and stairs are no longer an obstacle with the INDEPENDENCE® iBOT® 4000 Mobility System. You will feel secure climbing or descending a couple of steps, or even a full flight of stairs — indoors or out.
4-WHEEL FUNCTION
The road less traveled is now within your reach. The INDEPENDENCE® iBOT® 4000 Mobility System's powerful 4-Wheel Function is designed to keep you stable in the seat while going up or down inclines and over uneven terrain including:

- gravel
- sand
- curbs up to 5 inches (127mm) high
The 4-Wheel Function of the iBOT® Mobility System will help you perform many activities of daily living on your own. Where ever you want to go, enter or exit your home, enjoy your backyard or local park, the iBOT® Mobility System can help you get there.
STANDARD FUNCTION
Standard Function will take you across a variety of interior and exterior surfaces including sidewalks, cobblestones, carpeting, doorsills and more. In this function, the iBOT® Mobility System slides comfortably under most tables and desks letting you get to work or enjoy a meal with minimal hassle.
REMOTE FUNCTION
The Remote Function allows you to fold the iBOT® Mobility System's backrest on top of the seat pan for easy unoccupied transport in a mini van and some SUV's and station wagons. The overall height of the iBOT® Mobility System with the backrest folded is approximately 29 inches.
