We just had the white version of this brace here on E BAY which had a Halo attachment. This brace was built in an effort to make the hospital scene seem a little more futuristic The brace was made in black to create a little more of a SLEEK look. AGAIN, THIS BRACE WAS MANUFACTURED AS A MOVIE PROP FOR A VERY BIG ACTOR. It will fit up to a 4xxl person. It can fit a 1xl or even
a large extra large person because the Velcro straps and overlap aspect
of the brace will accommodate quite a bit of adjustment. The brace
has had the Velcro straps moved so it would fit a slightly smaller actor. It still can be shaved down for smaller sizes but primarily it was built for a
5’ 11” Actor with A BIG BUILD. The brace is in very NEAR NEW condition. This BRACE with the LERMAN CERVICAL attachment cost
around $8,000 dollars to design and build. We will be selling it to
recoup a fraction of that cost here on EBAY. So bid high and bid often
because you will never see another FULL BODY CAST / DOUBLE HIP

This auction is for a very clean FULL SPINAL
BRACE double hip spica, ctlso. With a LERMAN CERVICAL attachment. This
brace is designed to look like, (and will) provide Very rigid
immobilization of the entire spinal column, and upper legs and hips.
The neck superstructure can also be removed to just wear the brace
with the body segment alone. There is a threaded steel bar in the front and back
of the brace that will let you change the height of the LERMAN Head and neck immobilizer.
(included) This BRACE is VERY adjustable. The over lapping black thermoplastic body, and neck position
are easy to customize. The brace is expertly crafted, with amazing
attention to anatomical detail, and despite its rigidity, it is very
comfortable to wear, and is designed with long term wear in mind. The
molded shape, and soft white foam lining material make this a very
comfortable ORTHOSIS to wear for extended periods of time. (Shooting
scenes like this BRACE was designed for can take days to shoot so it
was important that this HIP SPICA ORTHOSIS was really easy to wear for
hours at a time) The BRACE can be snugged tightly with EIGHT Velcro
closures around the upper and lower torso and leg portions of the two
piece molded plastic shell. There is also two heavy duty Velcro
shoulder straps which make for a very rigid fit. The Black Velcro closures
are in very good condition (There is one single strap missing on the lower left leg but it is very easy to replace see photos). The size is made for large to very large
adult. Again This brace was purchased as a movie prop but unused as
such. A really nice piece for collectors or orthotic training. This brace is NOT intended to be used as a Medical Device and is being sold only as a COLLECTORS ITEM or MOVIE PROP.

MEASUREMENTS
The brace is made for an adult male, 5’ 11”, around 350 pounds. In it’s
smallest configuration, as it is now (without modifying the straps and
shaving the plastic) The waist circumference at the tummy is 54 inches
and a chest of 52 inches The hips are around 50 inches. The brace has a
width of about 22 inches at the top (chest), but the brace has at least
12 inches of overlap plastic to expand. The thigh is around 24 inches
and the part of the leg mold at just above the knee is 18 inches
(expandable). This brace's body portion stands 4’ 6” high in the front
to the top of the cervical attachment. and 3’ 9” from bottom of brace to the top
of the molded chest piece. (Remember that the brace starts from the top
of the knees and extends high on the chest up towards the collar bone)
The back of the brace is around the same height, and again without the
neck portion, which is completely adjustable in height. The brace is
made of 3/16 inch thick rigid Black thermo plastic it is generously padded
with 1/4 inch white cushion foam. The neck brace attachment is an adult size (one size fits most) it has a wide range of adjustment which add further control and rigidity
to the look and overall support / immobilization of the head and neck.
Brace is from a NON SMOKING environment. :-)

THE BRACE IS QUITE BIG AND WILL BE FAIRLY EXPENSIVE TO PACK AND SHIP.
