Description
Intergalacticwanderer is the Ebay trading name of Skylight Telescopes. Please View My About Me page for more information.
Showing its' many years with a superb deep patina, I believe this is terrestrial drawtube for a telescope (please note I say believe. I have no instrument with which I can test this item properly). It's made of brass that has aged beautifully.
I'm unaware of its' exact original source, but it would have inserted into the focus drawtube of an uncorrected refracting telescope. It then allows insertion of an eyepiece of the user's choice into the open end, providing a correct image for terrestrial viewing. Lots of pictures are provided to show condition, measurements, & other details. The image that this optic produces is inverted both up & down, and left to right. There are no eyepieces included.
The optics are clean and clear, and the brass is in very good condition.
Any questions? Please ask. This is an unusual item, and quite different from normal Ebay stuff...There's a modest opening bid, and from then, no reserve. Thanks for reading.

Due to nature of item, I’m happy to offer in person collection, but request payment in cash if this option is used. In the unlikely event of loss in transit, I will work with the buyer to deal with any claim details. Please be aware this involves dealing with external companies who have independent schedules. As a result, this can take several weeks to resolve. If paying by cheque, buyer will have to wait 6 working days for cheque clearance before release of goods. I describe the item fairly, and expect the buyer to be satisfied. If you feel negative feedback is appropriate, please contact me with your concerns first. I feel good communication will always lead to an amicable solution to any issues. When I know the item has arrived, and the buyer has indicated their satisfaction via feedback, I then regard the transaction as complete. Only then will appropriate feedback be left. Thank you.
