Description
Intergalacticwanderer is the Ebay trading name of Skylight Telescopes. Please View My About Me page for more information.
This wartime 3 draw telescope from Broadhurst Clarkson & Co. Ltd. is in excellent optical, mechanical and cosmetic condition.
Much information in available on the eyepiece drawtube, beginning with:
TEL. SCT. RECT. MK. IIs
Broadhurst Clarkson's logo is then stamped, and underneath:
14352 O. S. 126 G. A.,
Then a military arrow.
5cm (2") aperture (actual glass measurement), and 80cm (31.5") when extended from the sun screen to the eyepiece. It is good optically, and is in excellent condition throughout. The optics remain clear, and the stitching is intact. The leather has been scuffed in one place on the sun screen, and the strap holder on one end is split, but there are minor issues. It shows a nice patina with no dents, even the carry case is in excellent condition! Unusually, the eyepiece has a flip down cover which exposes a glass filter instead of the customary metal shield.
It's not a lightweight instrument, but I'll ship Internationally. So that there are no surprises, if a price for your country is not shown, please contact me for a shipping quote before bidding. Thank you.
Any questions? Please ask. I'm sorely tempted to keep this telescope, but have decided to sell it with no reserve, so I will be watching with interest.

Due to nature of item, I’m happy to offer in person collection, but request payment in person if this option is used. In the unlikely event of loss in transit, I will work with the buyer to deal with any claim details. Please be aware this involves dealing with external companies who have independent schedules. As a result, this can take several weeks to resolve. If paying by cheque, buyer will have to wait 6 working days for cheque clearance before release of goods. I describe the item fairly, and expect the buyer to be satisfied. If you feel negative feedback is appropriate, please contact me with your concerns first. I feel good communication will always lead to an amicable solution to any issues. When I know the item has arrived, and the buyer has indicated their satisfaction via feedback, I then regard the transaction as complete. Only then will appropriate feedback be left. Thank you.
