Dear yourgreatbargains, I received my flat iron yesterday and let me tell you it could not have been a worse day to test a new flat iron! It is so humid all the time here in South Georgia, and yesterday it was pouring down rain and the wind was blowing, it was horrible weather for my hair! I used this flat iron on clean dry hair with no fancy straightening products, just a little Bio silk, and it straightened my long, wild hair perfectly! Then to really test it out, I went and sat on my back porch to see how it well it would stay in this crappy weather. I stayed out there for at least 30 minutes and my hair was still perfectly straight! I was in SHOCK! I woke up this morning and it still looks fabulous! I have been using a CHI flat iron for 4 years and it finally broke a few weeks ago, I bought the Chloche flat iron without high expectations, I just figured it might get me by until I could afford a new CHI.
