The Acupuncture Massager is a Quartz Crystal Stimulator; the device works with a quartz crystal, much in the same way that a watch works. It needs no batteries, nor electricity. The Acupuncture Massager has two exchangeable heads. The rounded head is used for the body and the pointed head is used for the ear and small areas. When pressed against the skin (around a painful muscle or area of the body), the device generates a low electronic pulse brought on by the spark of a quartz crystal, creating a piezo electrical charge. The flow from the massager is about 6 millionths of an ampere at 18,000 volts for 12 millionths of a second. The application can be given through a layer of clothing, but the stimulation is less strong. Applying the piezo device directly to the skin is better. Its aim is to normalize the acupuncture meridians.
